Book a Mukolo Photo Tour and stay at Mukolo Camp in 6 Self-Catering en-suite Cabins or 6 spacious Campsites each with private ablutions and kitchen facilities. The Cabins and Campsites are spread out under riverine trees, overlooking the Kwando River floodplain.

Cabins

We have 6 rustic self-catering cabins, which include:

  • private en-suite ablution 

  • hot water provided by a wood burning donkey-boiler

  • kitchen, with a gas cooking burner, fridge, washing up sink, crockery and cutlery

  • BBQ/Braai stand

  • garden chairs

  • two single beds with linen and towels

  • fan

  • bunk beds in the family units

  • serviced daily

Rate:

Single: N$880 per person per night

Double: N$800 per person per night

Campsites

 6 large Private campsites, suitable for self-drive campers, camping trailers and large groups.  Each campsite is set in amongst large riverine trees and includes:

  • private ablution 

  • hot water provided by a wood burning donkey-boiler

  • kitchen area with a washing up sink

  • BBQ/Braai stand

  • serviced daily

Owner Managed

  • Hennie and Veronica started to develop this site in 2016 and moved from Windhoek to build an authentic Bush Camp

  • Mukolo Camp has grown steadily over the years and is now very well established

  • Being Owner/Managed, personalised service and attention to detail is of utmost importance to them

  • Mukolo Camp is renowned for its relaxed atmosphere, where guests and the owners can comfortably socialise with each other

Authentic Bush Camp

  • Wherever possible, local materials are used

  • Staff are recruited and trained from the local community

  • Mukolo Camp is eco-friendly and runs on Solar energy

  • Each campsite is large and has its own ablution facility

  • Each Cabin has been built slightly differently to be unique

  • Furnishings are simple, but tasteful and functional

Sustainabilty

  • In keeping with being an authentic Bush Camp, great effort has been made to preserve the indigenous vegetation and wildlife on the property

  • Firewood is collected from a local community and only from dead trees

  • Mukolo Camp works very closely with both local, national and international conservation authorities and organisations

  • It is also actively involved with the local communities and other lodges to promote eco-sensitive and sustainable tourism in the Caprivi region

  • Mukolo Camp regularly hosts Research groups from numerous countries
