Mukolo Camp
Private campsites and en-suite self catering cabins
on the Kwando River, Caprivi, Namibia

We are Hennie and Veronica Köhne. We have been campers ourselves for many years in Namibia and Botswana. It was always our dream to own a small camp. In April 2016 our dream came true when we started developing Mukolo Camp.

Plenty of hard work, commitment and helping hands has gone into making the camp what it is today. We would love to share this beautiful spot with you, where you arrive as a guest and leave as a friend.

As we live on site, we remained open throughout the pandemic.

We have used this quiet time to renovate, repair and upgrade our cabins, ablutions, electricity and water supply.

Mukolo Camp has always been popular among the Birders and Bird Photographers.  For this reason we are pleased to be able to offer our new Mukolo Photography Boat Tours.

Mukolo Photo Tours

From October 2022, Andrew and Pauline will join Mukolo Camp to promote the Photography Tours on a boat set up with specialist photography equipment.

In 2018, Andrew and Pauline started a similar boat photography business on the Panamá Canal, Panamá, Central America. The tours had become very popular with many nature lovers seeking a Rainforest experience.  However in March 2020 when the pandemic hit, they returned to Southern Africa and met Hennie and Veronica on their travels.

Andrew and Pauline have made many memorable trips to the Namibia Zambezi and Botswana Chobe regions, exploring the Zambezi, Okavango, and Kwando/Linyanti/Chobe rivers. The opportunity to assist and support Hennie and Veronica to set up and promote this new photography venture is extremely exciting.
